Universities

The universities involved in the University Consortium of Seinäjoki are the University of Tampere, the University of Helsinki, the University of Vaasa, Tampere University of Technology and the Sibelius Academy.  Almost 20 departments of these institutions participate in the operations of the University Consortium and serve as a knowledge base for research, education and development work.

In addition to these mother universities there is co-operation with other higher education institutions.  The South Ostrobothnian University Network co-ordinates the EPANET Project, the Summer University of South Ostrobothnia arranges a wide selection of university-level teaching.  Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences and the University Consortium have concluded an agreement on co-operation in infrastructure, research, education and internationalisation.
