Development projects of the University Consortium in 2007

The Ministry of Education allocated funding of 500,000 Euros for the further development of the University Consortium of Seinäjoki in 2007.  This UCS 2007 money can be used over a period of three years and is state budget allocation 29.50.22.7.  Project applications addressed to the University Consortium will be processed at meetings of the management group and the decision thereon will be taken at the Rectors’ meeting.

UCS projects in 2007 have been budgeted for the development of the various universities:

Epanet – funding for the continuation of professorial posts, UV, TUT and SibA	125.000 Euros
Internationalisation of research, continuous application	30.000 Euros
Transfer of research knowledge to SMEs, UV and UH	30.000 Euros
Further development of adult education Paths to degrees and continuing education UTA. UH, SibA, UV, TUT	150.000 Euros
Research and education environments UV, UH, TUT, SibA	80.000 Euros
Co-operation between HEIs and business life	60.000 Euros

A modern university research and education community, YTY
The YTY activities serve to intensify research and development work and adult education in a network organisation represented by the University Consortium of Seinäjoki, its five universities and the Epanet university network. The project makes it possible to support researchers, including offering a working environment appropriate to the research work.
